Real Value. We Make Investments that Matter.

We focus on creating real value in great companies, not financial engineering.

Our five to ten-year investment horizon means we create lasting partnerships with management teams for longer term value creation.

We invest on the same terms as business owners—period.

The Founders
James Song & Louis Yeung

James Song is a managing principal at Faircap Partners, where he oversees leadership, strategy, and investments.

As a Fulbright scholar in Uganda, James pioneered the use of empirically-based, non-pharmacological HIV interventions at Makerere University Hospital. He stayed in Uganda following his research to build the country’s first polyethylene recycling facility, Song Industrial, which would later spur the creation of the plastic recycling industry in East Africa.

Before launching Faircap Partners with longtime friend Louis Yeung, James founded Fury Capital, a special situations value fund in New York.

James graduated salutatorian from Harvard University, and received an MSc in neuroscience from University College London. His groundbreaking work has been recognized by the World Economic Forum, which recently honored him as a Young Global Leader.

Louis Yeung founded Faircap Partners with James Song in 2013.

As a managing principal leading the Yangon office, Louis relentlessly seeks out companies that can deliver massive returns while also providing real value to Myanmar.

Previously, Louis structured synthetic financing deals at Greenwich Capital Markets, and later managed a £500 million portfolio at The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Born and raised in New York, Louis received a BS in accounting and finance from Lehigh University.
